Crosspoint Christian School began as parents committed to Christian education in Franklin County realized the need for a secondary non-denominational Christian school. The school started in 1990 with 25 students, grades seven to nine, instructed by two teachers. Enrollment doubled the following year, with classes extended through the eleventh grade. The school became K-12 in 1992, the first high school senior graduating in 1993.
Crosspoint has grown in numbers since its beginning, providing excellent academic instruction and an environment for Christian spiritual growth to hundreds of students. The staff has also grown, from two full-time teachers to a mixture of 15 full- and part-time instructors. Since 1993, more than 150 Crosspoint students have received high school diplomas.
Crosspoint graduates are the best examples of an education received at Crosspoint, consistently testing out of college-level courses on their way to some of the region's finest public and private colleges and universities. Crosspoint alumni have embarked on careers in accounting, business, communications, education, engineering, music, ministry, nursing and politics. Some graduates have also earned post-graduate degrees in fields such as engineering and law. Many Crosspoint graduates are also pursuing successful careers in the skilled trades and military.
Crosspoint is a member of the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). Since its beginning, it has been governed by a parent board and has remained unaffiliated with any single church or denomination.
